Production wrapped for “Skyscraper”

Principal photography has wrapped on “Skyscraper” (working title), a thriller shot on location in Niagara Falls, Canada and the newest genre film investment for Breakthrough Entertainment which will also distribute the feature worldwide.

Produced by WANGO Films, “Skyscraper” follows a group of young paranormal investigators who get more than they bargain for when they hunt down a high profile haunting in an abandoned Skyscraper. The film stars John White (American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile and American Pie Presents: Beta House, Boy Toy, The Kennedys); Evan Williams (Degrassi: The Next Generation, The Border, GreyGardens, Instant Star, Being Erica); and Lauren Collins (Degrassi: The Next Generation, Kroll Show).

Following on the heels of such titles as Antisocial and The Drownsman, “Skyscraper” continues Breakthrough Entertainment’s commitment to forging partnerships with independent film producers to bring high quality genre titles to the international film marketplace.

Skyscraper is the newest feature for WANGO Films, the indie formed in 2005 responsible for the cult comedy Rock, Paper, Scissors: The Way of the Tosser, the 70’s style comedy Gravy Train and the horror feature Dead Before Dawn 3D. WANGO’s latest production, ‘88’ is a fast paced revenge thriller starring Katharine Isabelle and Christopher Lloyd, featuring Michael Ironside and Jesse McCartney.

Skyscraper is directed by WANGO Films co-founder April Mullen who also stars in the film.  Mullen’s directorial credits include 88, Dead Before Dawn 3D, Rock, Paper, Scissors: The Way of the Tosser and GravyTrain.  As an actress, Mullen last starred as a lead in the HBO series Good God.

Executive Producers of Skyscraper are Nat Abraham, Ira Levy, Michael McGuiganand Peter Williamson.  Producers are Tim Doiron, April Mullen and James van der Woerd.  Writers are Jeremy Doiron and Mike Doiron.
